National History Day at Missouri State University
The Missouri State University Department of History is proud to be a part of the National History Day in Missouri Contest. Each year, more than three hundred students - grades 6 to 12 - from Region VII come to MSU's campus to present their research projects and compete for a chance to advance to the state contest at the University of Missouri in Columbia.
Welcome to the National History Day at Springfield! When you ar part of NHD, you choose how you want to present your research. National History Day is a unique opportunity for you - students in grades 6 to 12 - to take charge and explore the past in a creative, hands-on way. The Missouri State University History Department, in partnership with the Ozark's chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution, recognizes outstanding educators through two merit awards for one high school and one middle school teachers. Winners of these Teacher Merit Awards will be announced at the Awards Ceremony.
Welcome to the National History Day in Springfield registration page! Thank you for volunteering to judge our junior and senior division projects. You will attend a judging orientation starting at 8.15 AM on February 15, 2019. A continential breakfast and lunch is provided. Perliminary rounds begins at 9.00 AM and should be completed by 11.30 AM. Run-off rounds will be scheduled as needed, beginning after 11.00 AM. The Award Ceremony will take place at the Plaster Student Union Theater from 1.30 to 3.30 PM.
As judges you will meet top students from the Springfield area and see the creative ways they present their research findings. We deeply appreciate your time and the thoughtful feedback that you provide to Missouri Students. Thank you for your service!
